This Credit Policy ("Policy") governs the use of credits within the InsureBuddy platform ("Service") operated by WhiteWolfStudios ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by this Policy.
Credits are the digital currency used within InsureBuddy to access premium features, process documents, and utilize AI-powered chat functionality. All pricing is displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Important: We reserve the right to modify this Credit Policy at any time, at our sole discretion. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes made to this Policy.
2. What Are Credits
2.1 Credit Definition
Credits are digital tokens that enable you to access InsureBuddy's premium features. Each action within the platform consumes a specific number of credits based on the computational resources and AI processing required.
2.2 Credit Usage
Credits are consumed when you:
- Upload and process insurance documents
- Generate AI-powered responses to your questions
- Access premium AI models for enhanced analysis
- Utilize advanced document processing features
Specific credit costs are displayed in real-time within the application and detailed on our pricing page.
3. Credit Expiration and Carryover
3.1 Credit Carryover Policy
InsureBuddy operates a carryover system for unused credits to provide maximum value to our users:
- Unused credits from your monthly allowance automatically carry over to the following month
- Credits earned through direct purchases never expire
- Your total credit balance is capped at 10,000 credits to maintain system efficiency
- Credits are consumed on a first-in, first-out basis
3.2 Credit Expiration
Different types of credits have different expiration policies:
- Purchased Credits: Never expire and remain in your account indefinitely
- Monthly Allowance Credits: Carry over month-to-month subject to the maximum balance cap
- Bonus Credits: Follow the same expiration rules as the credits they accompany
3.3 Balance Management
If your credit balance reaches the maximum cap, new monthly allowance credits will not be added until your balance falls below the limit. This ensures fair resource allocation while protecting your investment in purchased credits.
4. Credit Purchases
4.1 Purchase Options
Additional credits may be purchased through our payment processor, Paystack. All transactions are processed securely and are subject to Paystack's terms and conditions.
4.2 Payment Processing
- All payments are processed in South African Rand (ZAR)
- Credit packages are delivered immediately upon successful payment
- Purchased credits are added to your account balance automatically
- Bonus credits may be included with certain packages
4.3 Refund Policy
- Credit purchases are generally non-refundable
- Refunds may be considered for technical errors or unauthorized transactions
- Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase
- Refunds are processed through the original payment method
5. Fair Use Policy
5.1 Acceptable Use
- Credits must be used for legitimate insurance document processing and queries
- Automated or bulk processing without prior authorization is prohibited
- Sharing of accounts or credits between multiple users is not permitted
- Any attempt to manipulate or exploit the credit system is strictly forbidden
5.2 Prohibited Activities
- Using credits for purposes other than intended functionality
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or circumvent credit consumption
- Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits
- Uploading non-insurance documents or inappropriate content
6. Account Suspension and Termination
6.1 Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend credit functionality for accounts that violate this Policy or our Terms of Service. Suspended accounts may lose access to premium features while maintaining access to previously processed documents.
6.2 Termination
Upon account termination, whether voluntary or involuntary:
- All unused credits will be forfeited
- No refunds will be provided for unused credits or remaining subscription periods
- Access to processed documents may be retained for a limited time
- Re-activation of terminated accounts is at our sole discretion
7. Modifications to Credit Policy
7.1 Right to Modify
InsureBuddy reserves the absolute right to modify, update, or change this Credit Policy at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. This includes but is not limited to:
- Credit costs for any service or feature
- Credit allocation amounts for subscription tiers
- Carryover policies and expiration rules
- Maximum balance limits and restrictions
- Fair use policies and acceptable usage guidelines
- Refund and termination policies
7.2 Effective Date of Changes
Changes to this Credit Policy will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you must discontinue use of the Service.

- Material changes to credit costs or policies may be communicated via email or in-app notifications

Credits are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to credit functionality or the Service. Our liability for any credit-related issues is limited to the value of credits affected, not to exceed the amount paid for such credits.
9. Credit Disputes and Support
9.1 Incorrect Credit Charges
If you believe you have been incorrectly charged credits for any service or feature, or if you notice unauthorized credit deductions from your account, please contact our support team immediately.
9.2 Dispute Resolution Process
- Submit your dispute within 30 days of the suspected incorrect charge
- Provide detailed information about the disputed transaction
- Include relevant screenshots or documentation if available
- Our support team will investigate and respond within 5 business days
9.3 Credit Adjustments
If we determine that credits were incorrectly deducted from your account, we will:
- Restore the incorrectly charged credits to your account
- Provide a detailed explanation of the adjustment
- Take measures to prevent similar issues in the future
- No additional compensation will be provided beyond credit restoration
